Nathalie Strassburg. An artist, a chef, an author and a spiritual guide.

From a very young age I would fill my time with drawing, painting and looking at the deeper meanings in life. As I grew older, I attended Pro Arte – school for the arts, and later Hawaii Pacific University to complete my degree in Marketing. It was only after I left Hawaii and spent several months in Greece that I realised that the same creativity/inspiration can be applied to almost anything and specifically food preparation and presentation. Food allows you to share your creativity, it is one of the closest things you can ever do for anyone, it becomes a part of them, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

After working in the marketing industry and completing my training in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), I was inspired to travel again and start writing “Life Through Food” – a cookbook inspired by life, organised by ingredient and spiritual intention, written to inspire people and explore themselves and their creativity. I found the ideal spot on Koh Samui – Thailand where I worked in a prestigious Mediterranean restaurant for 2 years. I lived on a retreat in a monastery for a month and started writing “Life of I” – an exploration of reality, the self and this life we think we are living.

After travelling around the world for 8 years I decided to go back to South Africa to start by delight. by delight is inspired by the gift and opportunity to create – food, books and design - In every moment where there is creation, the universe bows down to lend a hand. Upon taking that hand one is filled with imagination and energy that can be applied to almost anything. Applying this energy is by delight. It is the experience of delight.
